Young People's Outings are open to all children and young people with learning disabilities in the Ribble Valley.
The events are currently fully funded by Crossroads fundraising for which we are very grateful to all our supporters.
The 2018 programme starts at Easter and will offer a monthly activity for the young people, which also provides a monthly respite for their family.
Examples of last year's activities:
Blueberries cafe for milkshakes and cakes followed by crafty pot painting.
Day trip to explore Chipping Steam Fair
Private swimming pool at Longridge.
Downham Open Gardens
Day trip to explore Chipping show
Horse riding at Herd Farm
All our Days Out are led by session leader, Jeanne Haselden who is an experienced Young People with Disabilities coordinator. We also ensure that the young people have plenty of Carer Support Workers from our team, who ensure a safe fun time are had by all.
To find out more please call our office on 01200 422104. We currently have a few places available for the above sessions, so please get in touch. We do need to complete a short care plan and risk assessment forms before a young person can join the group session.
All staff have enhanced DBS certification, First Aid training and are experienced in supporting young people with additional needs.
We also offer at home support and individual care packages which can be arranged with families direct, through social service funding, NHS continuing healthcare etc. Please call to find out how we may be able to support your young person and family at home and out and about.
