About Us

Ribble Valley Crossroads Care is very special due to our people and the core values that are shown throughout our organisation

We provide the full range of care services to the Ribble Valley community for the many people who want to live in their own homes for as long as possible, enjoying a full quality of life.  This is ‘Domiciliary Care’ and is often the preferred alternative to a care home for those who are able to safely remain at home.

Everything we do for you is tailored and bespoke for the needs of the individual,  families, carers and loved ones. Each situation is different – but whatever your circumstances, our wonderful staff are here for you.

We work closely with, and alongside, social workers, district nurses, GPs, OTs, NHS Falls Team and many other professionals

Our Key Principles Are:

We care deeply and empathise with those we support.

We strive for the highest standards of quality and professionalism, working closely with Skills for Care.  All our employees have regular observation and supervision to ensure that quality is monitored.

All of our carers receive high quality training and support which empowers them to deliver care which meets your needs in a safe, person-centred, and effective way.

Key practical skills are regularly monitored and assessed in the field, and as part of training, on a regular basis.

We are privileged to share people’s lives and confidences; with this, comes trust, reliability and confidentiality. We believe that honesty is the key to maintaining that trust and we follow the Duty of Candour should something not be possible or go as planned

Respect and dignity are essential and are at the heart of our care and an integral part of ongoing staff training.

Demography, personalisation and funding issues have all come together to transform social care and we are responding to this constantly changing picture in positive, creative and dynamic ways.

This includes the development of new projects and initiatives and constant improvements to systems, including IT, in response to changing needs.

We are signed up to the Social Care Commitment. This is the sector’s promise to provide people who need care and support with high-quality services.

I just want to say thank you to my caring team, from the young ones to the older ones, they have all been very supportive and caring. Their daily visits have helped me to get through the day and when I’m having a bad session, they are there for me

Please pass on our sincerest thanks to all the girls for everything that they are doing for mum and dad. It is providing much reassurance to everyone knowing that they are safe and well cared for.

The carers are wonderful! They're lovely, kind, caring, patient, interested, have good chats with mum and they're great at looking at the sunny or funny side of life. I don't think we could be happier with them.

2024

Even though Crossroads have only been caring for mum for a short time I've been very moved by the kindness, patience and compassion shown by all of the carers. It really does seem to be more than just a job for all of them. Thank you for taking such good care of mum. I can only hope she gets the same quality of care in the care home

2024

To all of you wonderful carers at Crossroads, with grateful thanks for all the care and friendship you have given to Mum and helping her to stay at home for as long as possible

2024

On behalf of the entire family I would like to thank you and your staff particularly C and E for their professionalism and courtesy shown towards dad during his trip to attend his granddaughters wedding. He had a thoroughly enjoyable day made all the more memorable with the safe driving skills and human interaction shown towards him from both girls. This meant the rest of the family could relax knowing he was being well cared for”

2024

Our dad recently passed away, and we were so grateful for the support we received from Crossroads. The two sisters who visited were like bright lights every time they entered. They lit up our home. We don't know what we would have done without you.

Dec 2016

In our time of darkness, you brought and hope into our home.

Dec 2017

I'm not worried when you send a new member of staff. If she works for Crossroads, then that's all I need to know. My GP says I need to keep up my activities and if it wasn't for your team, I wouldn't be able to do that. It really makes a massive difference and I don't know what I'd do without you.

Jan 2017

We would like to thank you all for the level of support and care you gave to us both. Many thanks to you all.

LCC Adult Safeguarding Team May 2017

The Manager and the Care Workers are to be Commended for their response to this safeguarding issue. It is to Crossroad's credit that this had been dealt with sensitively whilst supporting the people involved and yet treating the concerns seriously and following through the correct safeguarding procedure. Your actions have ensured that a vulnerable adult has been protected from abuse, albeit this occurring without Malice, this was still a substantiated Safeguarding behaviour. It is to your credit that everyone involved has paid compliments to your carer workers and management in the way they have been cared for and in the manner that this safeguarding issue has been raised and dealt with in a supportive caring manner.

I was worried about having care, after so many bad experiences with other care companies. However, you’ve proved all my fears wrong. I can’t say enough about how relieved and pleased I am.
